Some say a ten-year old can’t possibly know what life will hold—but Samantha Cox did. From the moment she first stepped on to a stage she knew what she would do for the rest of her life.
A Colorado native, Sam pursued her theatre dream through early schooling and into college receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting alongside the picturesque flatirons in Boulder at the University of Colorado. Although the mountains will always be home, the Big City was calling her name. She is ecstatic to be living in Manhattan (with her best friend/fur baby) and pursuing a life long goal of a career in performing.
She has worked in many types of theatre but her heart lies in musical theatre. She loves to explore a wide range of characters, both on the darker side (see Wednesday Addams, a role she has played multiple times) to performing as Disney princesses at birthday parties. Her love of Disney and musicals inspires little ones as she was inspired years ago, bringing with her engaging songs, dances, and storytelling.
In her free time she delights in watching every Netflix recommendation she receives and bingeing Law and Order SVU. When not snuggled in bed, you will likely find her out exploring the city and exercising her social butterfly wings with the people of New York.
And, that’s the thing—Sam wants to do it all! She wants to inspire through her performance. She strives to set nerves and fear aside, always offering her best performance. She loves to intrigue audiences in the front and back rows equally by her power on stage.
It’s what she does.
